Russia is considering an operation on Kyiv from Belarus and strikes on ‘decision-making centres’ — Zelenskyy
This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
“We continue to observe Russian attempts to draw Belarus further into the war against Ukraine. We are aware that there have been further contacts between the Russians and Alexander Lukashenko, aimed at persuading him to join new Russian aggressive operations,” the president noted.
According to him, Russia is considering plans for operations south and north of Belarusian territory — either against the Chernihiv-Kyiv direction in Ukraine, or against one of the NATO countries — specifically from Belarusian territory.
“I have instructed our Ukrainian Defence and Security Forces to reinforce the relevant sector and present a plan for our response, which will be reviewed and approved by the High Command,” Zelenskyy said.
In addition, the head of state cited documents indicating that the Russians are preparing new missile and drone strikes against Ukraine, specifically, as they state, against “decision-making centres”.
These include two dozen political centres and military posts.

In response, Zelenskyy stated that “unlike the aggressor country, where there is a clear instigator of this war and his long-standing entourage, which ensures his detachment from reality, the source of Ukraine’s defence is the Ukrainian people’s readiness to fight for their independence and their own sovereign state.”
