Saudi Arabia is interested in Ukrainian drones: an agreement is being prepared
This was reported by The Wall Street Journal.
Saudi Arabia is discussing with Ukraine the possibility of purchasing a large batch of interceptor drones that can be used to defend against Iranian Shahed-type strike drones.
According to the publication's sources, the potential deal could be worth millions of dollars.
At the same time, the final agreement between the parties has not yet been signed.
In addition to interceptor drones, Riyadh is also discussing the possibility of purchasing electronic warfare systems from Ukraine.
Other Persian Gulf countries are also showing interest in Ukrainian technologies.
In particular, representatives of Qatar have already visited Ukraine to familiarise themselves with anti-drone technologies.
The Wall Street Journal notes that the Ukrainian anti-drone system is not limited to missile air defence systems.
It also includes interceptor drones capable of destroying enemy drones by colliding with or detonating near the target.
Ukraine also actively uses electronic warfare measures that suppress the control and navigation signals of enemy drones.
