Scammers are sending out fake emails in Budanov’s name — Presidential Office
Kirill Budanov
Fraudsters have started sending out fake emails purporting to be from Kirill Budanov, Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine. One such email was received by Yuriy Klyufas, President of the Ukrainian National Association of Canada.

This was reported by the press service of the Office of the President.

In a letter to Klyufas, the fraudsters, writing on behalf of Budanov, asked for “active media and informational support” to help Ukrainians return to their homeland.

The letter did not come from an official address, but from an account created on a commercial email service: [email protected]. The letter bears a signature that does not belong to Budanov.

Information about the cyber fraud has already been passed on to the relevant law enforcement agencies. The Office of the President has urged people to carefully check email senders and not to trust dubious senders.
