On 12 March, in Lviv, employees of the Security Service of Ukraine are conducting investigative activities in one of the departments of the Lviv City Council.
This was reported by the Lviv City Council on Telegram.
"Today, 12 March, the Security Service of Ukraine is conducting an investigation into circumstances that may be related to the conscription of military personnel," the statement said.
"Preliminary investigative actions concern the work performed after the rocket attack and the use of budget funds for restoration. Currently, according to Mayor Sadovyi, he is still abroad on a working trip," said Deputy Ihor Zinkevych.
The city council clarified that the investigation is taking place in one of the city council's departments.
"The city will fully cooperate with law enforcement agencies to establish all the circumstances of the case and ensure a fair investigation," the city council assured.
Subsequently, the press service of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region reported that the Security Service, together with the Lviv regional prosecutor's office, is conducting authorised searches in certain premises of the Lviv City Council and a municipal enterprise subordinate to it.
The statement notes that information about possible illegal activities by some officials is currently being verified.
It also specifies that all investigative actions are being carried out in compliance with the requirements of the law and within the framework of criminal proceedings under Article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which concerns obstruction of the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations. Details of the case will be announced later.
