The US Senate has registered a bipartisan resolution in support of Ukraine
This was reported by The Public, citing a statement by Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Olga Stefanishyna and the text of the resolution.
According to the diplomat, the document was introduced by US Senate Foreign Relations Committee Co-Chair Jean Shaheen and NATO Senate Oversight Group Co-Chair Tom Tillis. The draft resolution was supported by senators from both the Democratic and Republican parties.
The document reaffirms support for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity and condemns Russia's attacks on civilian and critical infrastructure.
The resolution also emphasises the importance of coordinating actions with NATO allies, increasing financial pressure on Russia, and the need to provide reliable security guarantees to achieve a just and lasting peace.
It is noted that the draft resolution was submitted on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
