Smilyansky stated that “Ukrposhta” has launched card payments across Ukraine
This was announced on 12 May by Ihor Smilianskyi, CEO of Ukrposhta.
Ukrposhta has announced the launch of cashless payments by bank card in all towns and villages across Ukraine.
According to the company’s CEO, Ihor Smilianskyi, this has been made possible by equipping mobile branches.
“For the first time in the history of independent Ukraine, bank card payments have become available in 100% of Ukraine’s settlements… provided there is a signal,” Smiliansky said.
The service was launched on 1 May. It operated in test mode for the first 11 days.
Smiliansky also outlined the company’s future plans.
By the end of June 2026, Ukrposhta aims to offer not only card payments but also cash withdrawals and bank card top-ups.
By the end of the year, the company plans to equip every postman with a mobile device.
This should simplify customer service and allow cards to be accepted “in any city in the country”.
Separately, Smiliansky announced the submission of an application for a banking licence for “Ukrposhta.Bank”. “An
equally important step will be the submission of an application for a banking licence for “Ukrposhta.Bank”, he said.
As reported by ThePublic, “Ukrposhta” is launching its first network of parcel lockers and online parcel management.
