The SSO announced an attack on the Tyumen oil refinery
This was reported by the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces.
What is known about the strike
Drones operated by Deep Strike units travelled over 2,000 kilometres to the Tyumen region of the Russian Federation. Despite the fact that the plant’s key production facilities were protected by anti-drone nets, the Ukrainian military managed to hit the target. A fire broke out on the factory premises following the attack. There is currently no independent confirmation of this information.
This is the second attack on the plant
This is the second strike on the Tyumen oil refinery. According to the Special Operations Forces, the previous attack took place on 20 June. The Tyumen Oil Refinery is one of Russia’s largest oil refineries. It has a capacity of up to 9 million tonnes of crude oil per year, and its main products are petrol and diesel fuel.
The Special Operations Forces have stated that they are continuing to carry out long-range strikes on targets within Russia.
