Suspect in the capital police officer who was hiding in the forest with a "bag" of dollars has been announced
In Kyiv, a police officer was exposed for concealing evidence — over 13 million hryvnias in cash he left in his office and fled into the forest, where he was hiding.

The Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office has announced suspicion against the head of the Darniytskyi Police Department of Kyiv, Yuriy Rybyanskyi, who, according to investigators, violated the procedure for storing physical evidence by leaving cash in his office, although he was supposed to transfer it to a banking institution. As a result, he disappeared along with the money, which law enforcement officials estimated at 13.3 million hryvnias.

According to the prosecutor's office, the details of the case are as follows: the police officer, who did not report for duty, was hiding in Rivne region — he organized temporary housing in the forest, purchased a minibus, a tent, a charging station, a large amount of food and equipment for prolonged stay in natural conditions. He was soon detained and brought to Kyiv, with the cash found on him. He is charged with "seizure of another's property in especially large amounts through abuse of official position" under Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The issue of a preventive measure in the form of detention is being considered.
