The judge, while driving a Lexus car, hit two pedestrians

As a result of the accident, one of them died at the scene, and the other sustained injuries.

The judge who caused a fatal traffic accident in the Carpathians has been notified of suspicion. This was reported by ThePublic.info citing the Telegram channel Office of the Prosecutor General.

The judge of the Pidhaichytskyi District Court of Ternopil Region has been notified of suspicion of violating traffic safety rules, which resulted in the death of a pedestrian and injury to another person (Part 2, Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, on October 31, 2025, in the village of Fraga, Ivanо-Frankivsk district, on the Mukačevo – Lviv highway, the suspect, driving a Lexus UX 250h, moving towards Lviv, did not reduce speed when approaching an unregulated pedestrian crossing and hit two pedestrians.

As a result of the accident, one of them died at the scene, and the other received bodily injuries.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the territorial department of the State Bureau of Investigation. A submission has been sent to the High Council of Justice to obtain consent for the detention of the suspect judge and a petition for her temporary suspension from administering justice due to criminal prosecution.
