Syrsky, together with the Norwegian Chief of Defence, visited combat units in southern Ukraine
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, together with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Norway, General Eirik Kristoffersen, visited military command structures, as well as individual airborne assault and assault units carrying out combat missions to repel Russian aggression in the Southern Operational Zone.
During the visit, Eirik Kristoffersen familiarised himself with the operational situation at the front and the performance of the available weaponry.
Oleksandr Syrskyi noted that Norway is one of Ukraine’s most consistent and committed allies during this full-scale war. According to him, this includes, in particular, the provision of military aid and the allocation of funds to strengthen the Ukrainian Defence Forces with air defence systems, drones and ammunition.
The commanders-in-chief also discussed the urgent needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for weapons, military equipment and ammunition, as well as further strengthening cooperation both within the framework of bilateral cooperation and in broader formats.
Syrskyi thanked Erik Kristoffersen, the Norwegian government and the Norwegian people for their support of Ukraine and their multifaceted assistance.
