Tetyana Filevska has been appointed Deputy Minister of Culture
Tetyana Filevska will be responsible for international cooperation, cultural diplomacy and the development of the creative industries.
The Cabinet of Ministers has appointed Tetiana Filevska as Deputy Minister of Culture of Ukraine. She will be responsible for international cooperation, cultural diplomacy and the creative industries.

The Ministry of Culture of Ukraine announced the appointment on Facebook. 

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has appointed Tetiana Filevska as Deputy Minister of Culture of Ukraine.

Prior to this, she worked as Creative Director of the Ukrainian Institute. At the Ministry of Culture, Filevska will be responsible for international cooperation, cultural diplomacy and the development of creative industries.

What is known about Tetiana Filevska

The Ministry of Culture noted that Tetiana Filevska has been working in the cultural sector for over twenty years. She implements international cultural projects, researches Ukrainian art and promotes the development of Ukraine’s cultural diplomacy worldwide.

The ministry also highlighted that Filevska researches the legacy of the artist Kazimir Malevich. She was also introduced as a cultural figure, curator, arts manager and researcher of Ukrainian art.

What will the new deputy minister be responsible for?

Tetyana Berezhna announced that Filevska will work on international cooperation, cultural diplomacy and the creative industries.

According to the minister, the team has a lot of work ahead of them — from developing cultural diplomacy and international partnerships to protecting cultural heritage, digitising culture, and supporting Ukrainian artists, cultural institutions and creative entrepreneurship.

The team of deputies is now complete

Following the appointment of Tetiana Filevska, the team of deputies at the Ministry of Culture is now complete.

The ministry noted that the new team is to work on key areas of cultural policy, in particular Ukraine’s international representation, support for the cultural sector and the development of creative industries.
