The General Staff has updated the figures on Russian army casualties over the past 24 hours
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has updated its figures on combat losses suffered by Russian troops since the start of the full-scale invasion.
According to information as of 8 July 2026, Russia’s total losses since 24 February 2022 stand at approximately 1,413,510 military personnel. Over the past 24 hours, the Russian army has lost a further 1,260 personnel.
Furthermore, according to the General Staff, since the start of the full-scale war, Russia has lost 12,100 tanks, three of which were lost in the last 24 hours, 24,903 armoured combat vehicles, four of which were lost in the past 24 hours, and 45,569 artillery systems, 61 of which were lost in the past 24 hours.
Furthermore, the Russian army’s losses amount to 1,918 multiple launch rocket systems, of which one was lost in the past 24 hours, 1,478 air defence systems, 436 aircraft, 353 helicopters, 1,853 ground-based robotic systems, five of which were lost in the last 24 hours, 396,920 operational-tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles, 2,074 of which were lost in the last 24 hours, and 4,887 cruise missiles.
Russia has also lost 33 ships and boats, two submarines, 117,547 vehicles and tankers, of which 462 were lost in the last 24 hours, as well as 4,398 units of specialised equipment, four of which were lost in the last 24 hours.
The General Staff noted that the figures provided are subject to revision.
