Over the past 24 hours, 253 combat engagements were recorded on the front line. Russian troops were most active in the Pokrovsk, Sloviansk, Huliaipole and Kostiantynivka sectors.

Day 1,603 of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 253 combat engagements took place on the front line over the past 24 hours.

Russian troops launched one missile strike using eight missiles, carried out 79 air strikes and dropped 250 guided aerial bombs. In addition, the enemy deployed 10,559 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,282 shelling attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas, including 41 using multiple launch rocket systems.

The area around the village of Tovstodubove in the Sumy region was targeted by an air strike.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian Defence Forces’ air force, missile forces and artillery struck 14 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, three artillery systems, five drone control centres and four radar stations.

In the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors, Ukrainian forces repelled two attacks. The enemy carried out 88 shelling attacks on Defence Forces positions and settlements, including three using multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhanskyi sector, Ukrainian units repelled ten attacks in the areas of Vilcha, Starytsia and Lyman, as well as in the directions of Shevyakivka, Granova and Kozacha Lopana.

In the Kupiansk sector, Russian troops launched three attacks in the Podoliv area and towards Shyikivka.

In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 16 attacks in the areas of Lyman, Dibrova and Ozerny, as well as in the directions of Novomykhailivka, Novoselivka and Drobyshev.

In the Sloviansk sector, the enemy carried out 26 assault operations in the areas of Kryva Luka, Zakytne and Riznykivka, as well as in the directions of Starodubivka and Rai Oleksandrivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, five attacks were recorded in the Dibrova area and in the directions of Nykyforivka and Yurkivka.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, the occupiers launched 20 attacks in the areas of Kostiantynivka and Ivanopil, as well as in the directions of Illinivka, Stepanivka and Rusyne Yar.

The greatest number of assaults took place in the Pokrovsk sector, where Ukrainian forces repelled 40 attacks. Fighting continued in the areas of Shakove, Novooleksandrivka, Rodynske, Novosergiivka and a number of other settlements.

On the Oleksandrivka front, the enemy launched six attacks in the directions of Rybne, Vorone and Novomykolaivka.

In the Huliaipole sector, 20 attacks were recorded. Russian troops attempted to advance in the area of Novoselivka, as well as in the directions of Staroukrainka, Dobropillia, Vozdvizhivka, Hirok, Tsvitkove and Charivne.

In the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled three attempted advances in the directions of Bilohirya, Novoandriivka and Stepove.

No assault operations were recorded in the Dnipro sector.

In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of the enemy forming offensive groups were detected.

According to the General Staff, the Russian army’s losses over the past 24 hours amounted to 1,470 personnel. The Ukrainian military also destroyed ten tanks, six armoured fighting vehicles, 42 artillery systems, five multiple launch rocket systems, one air defence system, seven missiles, two ground-based robotic systems, 2,003 drones, one ship, 445 vehicles and four pieces of specialised equipment.
