Over the past 24 hours, 271 combat engagements were recorded on the front line. The highest number of Russian attacks took place in the Pokrovsk, Sloviansk, Huliaipole and Kostiantynivka sectors.

The 1,596th day of Russia’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine has begun.

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 271 combat engagements took place on the front line over the past 24 hours.

Russian troops carried out one missile strike using a single missile, conducted 90 air strikes and dropped 272 guided aerial bombs. The enemy also deployed 10,063 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,065 shelling attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas, 42 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems.

The Defence Forces’ air force, missile forces and artillery struck eight areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, five command posts, four drone control centres, five artillery systems, three command posts, an ammunition depot and two other key enemy targets.

Two combat engagements were recorded in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors. Russian troops carried out 55 shelling attacks, including two using multiple launch rocket systems.

In the Southern Slobozhansky sector, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian units 12 times in the areas of Starytsia, Lyman, Artilne and in the direction of Kudiivka and Khatne.

In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy launched two attacks in the direction of Kupiansk, Vuzlovyi and Kivsharivka.

In the Lyman sector, 17 attacks were recorded in the areas of Novomykhailivka, Kopanok, Drobysheve, Yampil, Nadiya, Novoselivka, as well as in the direction of Borova, Lyman, Ozerny and Dibrova.

In the Sloviansk sector, Russian troops carried out 27 assaults in the direction of Kryva Luka and the Oleksandrivka area, as well as in the areas of Riznykivka and Zakytne.

On the Kramatorsk front, two attacks took place near Nykyforivka.

On the Kostiantynivka front, the enemy carried out 18 attacks in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Ivanopil and towards Stepanivka.

The enemy was most active on the Pokrovsk sector, where Ukrainian forces repelled 51 assaults near Ivanivka, Dorozhne, Hryshyne, Udachne, Muravka, Molodetskyi, Rodynskyi, Novooleksandrivka and in the direction of Vilne, Kucherovyi Yar, Bilytske, Novyi Donbas, Shevchenko, Myrne and Serhiivka.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, the occupiers launched four attacks near Kalynivske and in the direction of Verbove.

In the Huliaipil sector, Russian troops carried out 24 attacks in the direction of Dobropillia, Hirkyi, Tsvitkovyi, Staroukrainka, Vozdvizhivka, Verkhnia Tersa, Huliaipil, Charivne and Olenokostiantynivka.

No offensive operations were recorded over the past 24 hours in the Orikhiv and Dnipro sectors.

In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of the enemy forming offensive groups were detected.

According to the General Staff, the Russian army lost a further 1,260 troops over the past 24 hours. Ukrainian defenders also destroyed three tanks, four armoured fighting vehicles, 61 artillery systems, one multiple launch rocket system, five ground-based robotic systems, 2,074 drones, 462 vehicles and four pieces of specialised equipment.
