The ‘Vyrovnyach’ guided aerial bomb
The guided aerial bomb developed in Ukraine is called the ‘Vyrovnyuch’ and costs about a third of the price of the American JDAM-ER, which Ukraine previously used.

Business Insider reports this, citing the manufacturer.

As noted, the Ukrainian KAB was developed by the domestic defence company DG Industry. The Brave1 coordination platform told the publication that the ‘Vyryvnyk’ contains a 250-kilogram warhead and is designed to strike targets deep behind enemy lines.

They emphasised that the UAV’s technology “was not copied from Soviet models”, but was built from scratch. Furthermore, the bomb is compatible with Ukrainian aircraft and weapon systems and can be deployed from F-16 and Mirage fighters following additional certification.

The Ukrainian PVE has also been equipped with modern guidance algorithms for improved targeting and strike accuracy. The Ukrainian military will be able to deploy the ‘Vyrovnyuvach’ regardless of weather conditions, and preparation for launching the bomb takes no more than 30 minutes, according to Brave1.

Furthermore, the “Vyryvnyach” guided bomb costs approximately a third of the price of the American JDAM-ER (Joint Direct Attack Munition-Extended Range), which the US recently sold to Ukraine for $373.6 million.

It is worth recalling that Ukraine’s Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov recently announced that Ukraine had developed its first indigenous guided aerial bomb. It has already passed the necessary tests and is ready for combat use.
