The 1,580th day of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine has begun. Over the past 24 hours, 246 combat engagements were recorded on the front line.

As of 08:00 on 22 June, the 1,580th day of the Russian Federation’s large-scale armed aggression against Ukraine is underway. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 246 combat engagements were recorded on the front line over the past 24 hours.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops launched three missile strikes using three missiles, carried out 84 air strikes and dropped 275 guided bombs. The enemy also deployed 9,629 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,932 shelling attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian military positions, including 55 using multiple launch rocket systems.

Meanwhile, the Defence Forces’ air force, missile forces and artillery struck four command posts, five areas where enemy personnel were concentrated, six artillery pieces, two UAV command posts and two further key enemy targets.

Four combat engagements took place over the past 24 hours in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors. The aggressor carried out 54 attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas, one of which involved the use of MLRS.

In the Southern Slobozhanshchyna sector, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian units 13 times in the direction of Izbytske and near Lyman, Starytsia and Vovchansk.

In the Kupiansk sector, eight attacks were recorded in the areas of Hlushkivka, Kurylivka, Shyikivka and Mala Shapkivka.

In the Lyman sector, the enemy made 24 attempts to breach defences in the areas of Novoselivka, Yampil, Ozerny, and in the directions of Lyman, Olgivka, Drobysheve and Dibrova.

In the Sloviansk sector, the occupiers launched 16 assaults near Riznykivka, Kaleniky, Zakytne and in the directions of Rai-Oleksandrivka, Kryva Luka and Pyskunivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, one attack was recorded near Minkivka.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, Russian troops carried out 21 attacks in the areas of Kostiantynivka, Illinivka, Ivanopillia, Pleshchiivka, Sofiivka and in the direction of Kuchero-Yar.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 21 enemy assaults near Novooleksandrivka, Hryshyne, Rodynske, Kotlyne, Udachne and in the directions of Novyi Donbas, Bilytske, Shevchenko and Novopavlivka.

On the Oleksandrivka front, the invaders launched one assault in the direction of Sichneve, but were repelled.

On the Huliaipole sector, the occupiers carried out 30 attacks in the directions of Dobropillia, Huliaipole, Vozdvizhivka, Varvarivka, Zaliznychne, Rizdvyanka and Charivne.

On the Orikhiv sector, Ukrainian forces repelled two attempts by the enemy to advance in the area of Stepnogorsk and towards Novoandriivka.

In the Dnipro sector, the enemy did not carry out any offensive operations. In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of offensive groupings being formed were detected.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces suffered casualties totalling 1,190 personnel. One tank, eight armoured fighting vehicles, 51 artillery systems, one multiple launch rocket system, two air defence systems, nine ground-based robotic systems, 2,015 drones, 384 vehicles and five pieces of specialised equipment were destroyed.
