Russia has attacked the Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kharkiv and Odesa regions

Russia has attacked the Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kharkiv and Odesa regions

On the night of 22 June and over the past 24 hours, Russian troops have carried out strikes on several regions of Ukraine. There have been fatalities and injuries, and residential buildings and civilian infrastructure have been damaged.

Sumy Region

Several communities in the Sumy region have been affected by Russian attacks.

In Hlukhiv, during an attack by Russian drones, strikes were recorded on a five-storey residential block and the private housing sector. A 14-year-old child was seriously injured in one of the strikes. She was hospitalised and is in a stable condition.

Rescue workers reported that in the Hlukhiv community, drone strikes caused a large-scale fire in three residential buildings. The fire was successfully extinguished.

In the Krasnopil community, rescue workers dealt with the aftermath of a strike on a private house.

In Sumy, an enemy drone struck the roof of a high-rise block. State Emergency Service personnel inspected the building and provided assistance to the residents.

Also, in the Zno-Novgorod community in the Shostka district, at around 04:50, a Russian drone struck the home of a large family.

A 13-year-old boy, his 36-year-old father and his 73-year-old grandmother were killed in the attack.

The 31-year-old mother, the 13-year-old sister of the boy who died and his 10-year-old brother were injured.

A pre-trial investigation has been launched into this incident under the article on war crimes resulting in loss of life.

Kharkiv region

The Russian army continues to shell border settlements in the Kharkiv region.

According to the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, over the course of three days, Russian troops carried out 45 drone strikes on the village of Ivashky in the Zolochiv community.

As a result of the intensive attacks, two two-storey apartment blocks, 14 private houses and outbuildings were destroyed.

There were no casualties.

The village of Ivashky is located less than a kilometre from the border with Russia and is regularly subjected to shelling. Most of the residents have already been evacuated.

Donetsk Oblast

Over the past 24 hours, Russian troops killed one civilian in the Donetsk region.

The fatality was reported in Druzhkivka.

A further seven people were injured. Two were injured in Druzhkivka, four in Sloviansk and one in Kramatorsk.

Zaporizhzhia Region

On the night of 22 June, the Russian army attacked Zaporizhzhia with strike drones.

Two women, aged 39 and 53, were killed in the attack.

A further seven people were injured, including an 11-year-old boy.

The strikes partially destroyed and damaged private houses, high-rise blocks, warehouses, non-residential buildings and farm buildings.

The public prosecutor’s office has launched an investigation into the war crime.

Dnipropetrovsk region

Russian troops have attacked the region nearly 20 times using drones and artillery.

The Nikopol, Synelnykiv and Kryvyi Rih districts, as well as Pavlohrad, came under fire.

In the Nikopol district, the Russians struck Nikopol, the Chervonohryhorivka and Pokrovsk communities. A private house was set alight there, and high-rise blocks and a car were damaged.

A 58-year-old man was injured and is in a serious condition.

In the Synelnykivskyi district, a shop caught fire as a result of the attacks.

In the Kryvyi Rih district, infrastructure facilities, a farm building and a car were damaged.

In Pavlohrad, a fire broke out in a residential building, and two further private homes were damaged. A 60-year-old woman was injured.

Odesa region

In the Odesa region, one person was killed as a result of a missile strike on civilian infrastructure.

Three more people were injured.

The attack targeted one of the agricultural enterprises. A large-scale fire broke out following the strike.

The fire engulfed a warehouse, vehicles and tanks containing flammable materials.

The fire was brought under control, despite the threat of further air raid alerts.
