Western countries have yet to impose sanctions on a significant number of Russian defence contractors. This includes manufacturers of key systems and components for the Su-34 fighter-bomber.

This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence.

The intelligence service has published data on the manufacturers of key components for Su-34 aircraft on the War&Sanctions portal. It noted that the Su-34 is the primary carrier of guided aerial bombs.

The list comprises 79 Russian enterprises. According to the intelligence service, “almost a third of them are not subject to restrictions by any of the countries in the sanctions coalition and, therefore, may continue to have access to the necessary foreign components and technologies”.

The list of such manufacturers includes, for example, JSC ‘KOTLIN-NOVATOR’, which repairs antennas for the aircraft’s airborne radar station, JSC ‘OKB ZENIT’ — a manufacturer of Su-34 airborne power supply systems — and others.
