More than 10 people have gone missing in Kyiv following a shelling attack
This was announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs, Ihor Klymenko.
Currently, over 1,500 rescue workers and police officers are involved in dealing with the aftermath of the Russian heavy shelling, with nearly 600 of them in Kyiv.
Six dog-handling teams have been deployed to search for people trapped under the rubble.
Police reporting centres have also been set up – investigators have already registered over 100 reports of property damage.
In the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv alone, over 30 people were injured. State Emergency Service personnel managed to rescue 28 people from the ruined building. Psychologists are working at the scene, talking to the victims and supporting the relatives of those who have died and those who are still being searched for.
As a reminder, on the night of 14 May, the Russians launched a massive attack on Kyiv and the surrounding region. Three people were killed in the capital and a further 40 (including two children) were injured.
