In Belgium, the wife and daughter of a Ukrainian soldier were killed
On the morning of June 6, residents of Haasrode reported a fire in the house where a Ukrainian family was living. It was previously the house of a local priest. Firefighters at the scene found the body of a 46-year-old woman and a six-year-old girl with numerous stab wounds. By the time the firefighters arrived, the woman had already died, and efforts were made to save the daughter.
The authorities have launched an investigation into a double homicide. Preliminary findings suggest that the house with Ukrainian citizens was deliberately set on fire.
It is known that the Ukrainian family has been living in Belgium for three years, and the girl’s father is fighting on the front in Ukraine. The woman also has a 16-year-old son who was at school at the time of the fire.
