A massacre occurred on a train in Britain: unknown individuals with knives attacked passengers
Ten people were taken to the hospital after a knife attack on a train traveling from Doncaster in northern England towards King's Cross station in London, reports ThePublic.info citing Deutsche Welle.
Nine of them, according to preliminary data, sustained life-threatening injuries. This was reported early Sunday morning, November 2, by British transport police. One person has injuries that are not life-threatening.
The incident occurred near Huntington (Cambridgeshire County), 120 kilometers north of London. A report was received by the police at 19:42. Armed law enforcement officers immediately arrived at the station along with medics. They arrested two individuals on the train and took them to the station.
The counter-terrorism police unit is providing support in the investigation, and law enforcement officials are establishing the motives.
"Our work at the station continues and will continue for some time. Borders have been established, and trains are currently not running on this section, also several roads are closed," said Police Chief Chris Casey.
