In Dnipro, law enforcement officers reported suspicion of a former military serviceman who, according to the investigation, offered assistance in avoiding mobilisation through a military medical commission for 20,000 dollars.

Under the procedural guidance of the Dnipro Specialised Prosecutor's Office for the Eastern Region, on 4 March 2026, a former military officer was notified of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 369 2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The case concerns abuse of influence.

According to the investigation, in December 2025, the suspect offered a man assistance in avoiding mobilisation for 20,000 US dollars.

Of this amount, $9,000 was intended for the production of fictitious medical documents allegedly confirming the presence of a serious illness. The rest of the funds were to be transferred to employees of the district territorial recruitment and social support centre and the military medical commission.

The woman explained the mechanism for obtaining such documents, provided instructions on how to pass the military medical commission, and informed him of the possibility of entering the necessary information into the electronic health care system.

She also assured that she would be able to influence officials of the military medical commission of one of the district territorial centres for recruitment and social support in Dnipro to make a decision on unsuitability for military service.

On 4 March, the suspect received part of the agreed funds. Immediately after the transfer of money, she was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention.

During the searches, law enforcement officers seized more than 30,000 US dollars, 119,000 hryvnias, 9,000 dollars of illegal gains, mobile phones, seals of medical institutions and medical documents of approximately 250 conscripts.

The circumstances surrounding these documents are being investigated as part of a pre-trial investigation.

The possible involvement of officials from district territorial recruitment and social support centres and the military medical commission in the crime is also being investigated.
