In Kyiv, a 25-year-old man was convicted of corrupting a girl
Law enforcement officers found out that a 24-year-old native of Rivne region met a girl through Telegram, using the "People Nearby" feature, they reported in Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.
In messages, the man asked the girl to send him revealing photos and videos, "exploiting her naivety and trust." Law enforcement adds that he also became the "director" of this process – giving the girl instructions on how to do it so her parents wouldn't find out.
The prosecutor's office reported that the correspondence lasted "no more than a week." Later, the girl told her mother about everything – who then contacted the police.
During a search of the man's phone, law enforcement officers found child pornography. The court found him guilty of committing lewd acts against a minor (Part 2 of Article 156 of the Criminal Code), coercing her to create child pornography, and storing such materials (Parts 1 and 4 of Article 301-1).
The man was sentenced to 11 years in prison. The court also prohibited him from engaging in activities related to the education and recreation of children for three years afterward, as well as two years from working with the use of information and telecommunication systems or technologies.
