In Kryvyi Rih, the head of the local sambo federation was killed as a result of a shooting.
"I didn't see him in the morning; he was sitting in the car, and there was a security guard. I didn't hear any shots; the windows were closed," — recounts a resident of the area.
Local residents also mention that there was a series of gunshots. A woman recounts that she was at the playground when she heard the shots:
"We were sitting on the playground, children were playing. There were explosions, and we all looked at each other. Suddenly, a man ran out and shouted at us, warning that there was some kind of an unstable person with a machine gun, and to run. We took all the children and hid. We called the police. When we came out, there were already people there, neighbors from this building and the neighboring building. I know this person; he's a well-known figure in our city."
The Dnipropetrovsk regional prosecutor's office stated that as a result of the shooting, another man received a gunshot wound and was hospitalized.
