In Paris, near the Eiffel Tower, a Ukrainian woman was raped
On the night of August 24 to 25, 2025, in the very heart of Paris, near the Eiffel Tower, a 32-year-old Ukrainian woman was raped.

This is reported by the publication Le Parisien.

According to preliminary data, the attacker, who was intoxicated, dragged the woman behind bushes and assaulted her.

The victim's screams attracted the attention of a Paris police patrol nearby. The police immediately arrested the suspect on the spot. He claimed to be a 17-year-old citizen of Libya, but had no documents, so his identity is currently being verified.

The incident sparked a wave of outrage, as the area near the Eiffel Tower has repeatedly been the site of sexual assaults. Despite the presence of surveillance cameras and regular patrols, local authorities admit that the level of security in the tourist zone remains inadequate.
