A Ukrainian model held her wedding in Cannes with Ricky Martin and Meladze

A high-profile wedding took place in France for Ukrainian model and former ‘Miss Ukraine’ contestant Nika Lomiya. The Kharkiv native’s chosen one is a Kyiv-based IT entrepreneur and owner of a casino gaming company.
The celebrations took place in Cannes and lasted two days. A luxurious mansion built in 1919 with panoramic views of the Mediterranean Sea was chosen for the ceremony.
Guests from various countries, including Ukraine, Georgia and Russia, were invited to the event.
The wedding attracted attention not only for its location but also for its grand programme and star-studded line-up of performers.
Comedian Maxim Galkin hosted the event. He organised competitions for the guests and sang at the wedding.
Although the event was conducted in Russian, Galkin occasionally switched to Ukrainian. He also performed well-known Ukrainian songs, including Ivo Bobul’s “Rozmova z toboju” and “Oy, smereko”.
One of the main musical guests was Valery Meladze. Both the guests and the bride herself sang along to his hits.
The appearance of global superstar Ricky Martin, who also performed at the celebration, attracted the most attention.
According to unofficial reports, Ricky Martin’s fee may have exceeded one million dollars.
Information has also emerged online that Maxim Galkin’s performance cost around 130,000 dollars, whilst Valery Meladze received an even larger sum.
The newlyweds and guests actively shared photos from the celebration on social media. In posts, the event is already being called the “wedding of the year”.
Guests were treated to exquisite dishes and expensive champagne. The atmosphere of the event was more reminiscent of a private high-society gathering of international standing than a traditional wedding.
