Ukrnafta tops the ranking of the largest fuel retailers
This is reported on the Enkorr website, citing ‘A-95’.
The state-owned operator managed to overtake the long-standing leaders – the OKKO and WOG networks, which took second and third place respectively.
The biggest growth was recorded in the diesel fuel segment, where sales jumped by 65% compared to February.
The main factors behind this success were the minimum retail prices set by the government to keep fuel costs down during the crisis, as well as the large-scale modernisation of petrol stations.
An additional boost in volumes was provided by the addition of 21 U.GO-branded petrol stations in the Kharkiv and Poltava regions to the network.
Experts note that the rapid growth began as early as March, when the company’s sales increased by almost a third. Despite a slight slowdown in growth in April, a decline in sales at other major chains allowed Ukrnafta to consolidate its leadership in the domestic petroleum products market.
