Unmanned aerial systems struck the Russian vessel 'Svitlyak' in Crimea
The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ unmanned systems unit struck a Russian ‘Svitlyak’-class border patrol vessel in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
The results of the operation were reported by SBS Commander Robert ‘Madyar’ Brovdi, who released a video of the incident.
According to him, on the night of 4 June, units of the ‘SBS Birds’ struck the Project 10410 ‘Svitlyak’ vessel, which was located in the settlement of Yurkine in Crimea.
The vessel is designed to monitor and protect ports and ships, as well as to establish a tactical line of air and anti-submarine defence. It is 49.5 metres long. It is armed with 16 Igla man-portable air defence missile systems, an AK-176 artillery mount, 14.5 mm machine gun mounts and six-barrelled anti-aircraft machine guns. The ship’s crew consists of 28 personnel, and it has an endurance of up to 10 days or 2,200 miles.
In addition, Unmanned Systems Forces struck the ‘Pantsir-S1’ anti-aircraft missile and gun system in Strilkove, Kherson Oblast, and the RSBN-4N short-range navigation radio system in Saki, in the temporarily occupied Crimea.
Locomotives in Vladislavivka and Rozdolne in Crimea were also hit.
Furthermore, the UAS struck transformers in Bulavynske and Vuhlehirsk in the Donetsk region, as well as fuel and lubricant tanks in Makiivka.
