The government has allocated an additional 2 billion hryvnias to the e-Recovery programme. With these funds, a further 20,000 families will be able to receive non-repayable grants to repair homes damaged as a result of Russian aggression.

This was announced by Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for Recovery and Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine.

The government has allocated an additional 2 billion hryvnias to the e-Recovery programme.

According to Oleksii Kuleba, these funds will enable compensation to be provided to a further 20,000 families whose homes were damaged as a result of Russian aggression.

The funding has been channelled from the Fund for the Elimination of the Consequences of Armed Aggression.

The money will go towards non-repayable payments to citizens for home repairs.

The additional 2 billion hryvnias has been allocated across two areas.

1.3 billion hryvnias has been earmarked for urgent repairs.

The maximum amount of such compensation is up to 200,000 UAH per property.

A further 0.7 billion hryvnias will be allocated for more complex restoration work.

For flats, the maximum compensation amount is up to 350,000 UAH.

For private houses, it is up to 500,000 UAH.

Kuleba noted that due to enemy attacks and ongoing Russian aggression, the destruction of the housing sector continues.

In total, over 3 million households have been damaged in Ukraine.

This accounts for around 14% of the country’s total housing stock.

As of now, nearly 139,000 families have already received compensation.

The total amount of payments is 13.5 billion UAH.

Over 212,000 applications have been submitted.

The average compensation amount for basic repairs is around 70,000 UAH.

For more complex restoration work, the average payment exceeds 340,000 UAH.

Additional funding is intended to ensure the continuity of payments and speed up the restoration of damaged homes.

For families, this means that some applicants will be able to receive money for repairs sooner and will not have to wait for the next round of funding.
