Oleksandr Usyk commented on Volodymyr Klitschko's training and explained whether we should expect a high-profile rematch with Tyson Fury.

Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk commented on rumours about Vladimir Klitschko's possible return to the professional ring and the prospect of his rematch with Tyson Fury. According to the Ready to Fight platform, Usyk reacted to videos of Klitschko training with young boxer Dmytro Lovchynskyi, which recently appeared in the public domain.

According to the three-time undisputed world champion, he would be happy to see a second fight between Klitschko and Fury, but believes that Klitschko's current training does not necessarily indicate that he is preparing for a comeback. Usyk estimated the probability of Klitschko's comeback at about 30%, emphasising that he is most likely training to maintain his fitness. At the same time, Usyk assured that he is ready to help Vladimir with his preparation if he decides to return to the ring.

Vladimir Klitschko ended his career in 2017 after losing to Anthony Joshua, but over the next few years, rumours of his return repeatedly appeared in the media. In particular, there is talk of a possible attempt to break George Foreman's record, who became world heavyweight champion at the age of 46. Ukrainian promoter Alexander Krasyuk previously stated that Klitschko is in excellent physical shape and has not stopped training, which the boxer himself indirectly confirmed by posting videos of sparring sessions.

Tyson Fury is mentioned separately in the context of a possible rematch. The Briton announced the end of his career after two defeats to Usyk, but in January 2026 he announced his return to the ring. Currently, there is no official information about his next opponent, although the names of Usyk and Anthony Joshua are also appearing in the media.

The first and only fight between Wladimir Klitschko and Tyson Fury took place in 2015 and ended in victory for the Briton, who then interrupted the Ukrainian's long-standing championship streak. Despite the mandatory rematch stipulated in the contract, the second fight never took place due to constant postponements and, later, Fury's health problems and his temporary retirement from boxing.
