Preferential mortgages for railway workers
Ukrzaliznytsia, in partnership with Oschadbank, has launched a unique mortgage scheme for employees in the sector. The employer will cover up to 20% of the initial deposit and a third of the monthly repayments for a period of three years.

This has been reported by Oschadbank’s press office.

The scheme provides financial support from the employer for the purchase of property worth up to 2 million hryvnias. The programme is currently available to railway workers who have the status of internally displaced persons.

The loan terms include compensation for 20% of the down payment (provided it does not exceed 30% of the property’s value) and coverage of up to 30% of monthly payments for the first three years.

The company also plans to introduce an option for advance financing before the purchase agreement is signed.

The aim of the initiative is to attract and retain staff, as well as to stimulate the property market. According to the bank’s estimates, this approach will become the new standard for major employers and will encourage Ukrainian professionals to return from abroad. To date, Oschadbank has already issued 8,800 loans under the ‘eOselya’ state programme.
