He is suspected of armed robbery of cash-in-transit personnel and attempted murder of a law enforcement officer.

In September 2019, a foreigner, together with an accomplice, carried out a robbery on police officers of the Patrol Police Department in Zhytomyr, who were transporting cash. This was reported by ThePublic.info citing Telegram channel of the Office of the Prosecutor General.

During the attack, the criminals used firearms. They wounded one of the police officers and seized his service weapon.

The suspect had been hiding abroad for several years, avoiding responsibility. The suspect was detained on October 13, 2025. The Zhytomyr Regional Prosecutor's Office facilitated the extradition of the foreigner from the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine.

The court chose a preventive measure for him – detention. If proven guilty, the man faces life imprisonment. Measures are being taken to establish the whereabouts and detention of the other participant in the attack, who is also a foreigner, including international efforts.
