Martial law in Ukraine
The Ukrainian parliament has extended martial law and general mobilisation for a further 90 days. The relevant legal regime will remain in force until at least 2 August 2026.

On Tuesday, 28 April 2026, the Verkhovna Rada voted to extend the period of martial law in Ukraine and general mobilisation.

Martial law and general mobilisation have been extended by 90 days — until 2 August 2026.

315 MPs voted in favour of extending martial law, with two against.

MPs Oleksiy Honcharenko and Hanna Skorokhod did not support the extension of martial law.

The extension of the general mobilisation period was supported by 304 MPs. Two MPs voted against it.

This is the 19th time the Ukrainian parliament has considered the issue of extending martial law and mobilisation.
