Zelenskyy is set to meet Trump next week during his visit to the US

The administration of US President Donald Trump is exploring the possibility of launching a military operation in Mali against the JNIM group, which is linked to al-Qaeda. No final decision on the use of force has yet been taken, and discussions are ongoing amongst US officials.

Poland has proposed that the US and Ukraine jointly manufacture missiles for the Patriot systems at a secure location. No final agreement has yet been reached – Warsaw has merely put forward the initiative to Washington.

Russia has warned merchant ships of the dangers of navigation within its exclusive economic zone in the Black Sea. The reason given was the threat of attacks by aerial and maritime drones.

The Russian authorities are putting in place legal and coercive mechanisms that could be used in the event of a new mobilisation. At the same time, the Kremlin is preparing for potential public discontent, according to analysts at the Institute for the Study of War.

Tetyana Chornovol, a former Member of Parliament and serviceman in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has published a post in which she addressed Daria Kalenyuk, the Executive Director of the Anti-Corruption Action Centre. In it, she expressed the view that the activist’s husband should voluntarily enlist in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
