Overnight, Russia attacked several regions of Ukraine; there are casualties
Fire in a residential building following an attack by the Russian Federation
During the night of 1 May and over the past 24 hours, Russian forces have launched attacks on a number of regions in Ukraine. Homes, infrastructure and energy facilities have been damaged, and there have been reports of casualties.

Odesa Region

Russian forces attacked port infrastructure in the Izmail district. No one was injured, and the fires were extinguished by emergency services. During the night, a group of drones entered from the sea and moved towards Izmail.

In Odesa, strikes were recorded on residential high-rise buildings in the Khadzhibey district. Two buildings were damaged, and fires broke out in the flats. Two people were injured and are receiving medical assistance.

126 specialists and 28 pieces of equipment are working at the scene. An operational headquarters has been set up to assist residents.

It is also reported that the strikes destroyed a flat in a 16-storey building and damaged another high-rise, where a fire broke out on the upper floors. Psychologists from the State Emergency Service provided assistance to 25 people, including two children.

Kharkiv region

In Kharkiv, Russian forces attacked the Kholodnohirskyi district with drones, damaging an administrative building. At the time of reporting, there were no reports of casualties.

Strikes were also recorded in other parts of the city, notably at petrol stations in the Kyivskyi and Slobidska districts. There are casualties as a result of the massive attack; the exact number is being confirmed.

In Chuhuiv, a drone struck a petrol station, causing a fire. Emergency services are on the scene.

Over the past 24 hours, Kharkiv and 19 other settlements in the region have come under attack; five people have been injured, including a child.

Dnipropetrovsk region

Russian forces attacked the region nearly 20 times with drones and artillery. Infrastructure was damaged in Kryvyi Rih, and one person was injured.

In the Synelnykivskyi district, a garage and a car were on fire, and private homes were damaged. In the Nikopolskyi district, damage was reported to infrastructure, an administrative building, a petrol station and buses.

Sumy region

Over the past 24 hours, 12 people were injured as a result of the attacks. In the Sumy community, residential buildings, transport and infrastructure facilities were damaged.

In the Shostka community, significant destruction of housing and infrastructure was recorded. In the Seredyna Budska community, eight people were injured by drone strikes and mortar fire.

In the Hlukhiv community, one man was injured, and two more were wounded in the Okhtyrka and Konotop districts.

During the night, drones attacked Sumy, damaging an administrative building and a shopping centre. There are no reported casualties. In one of the settlements, a private house caught fire following a drone strike; the fire has been extinguished.

Kherson region

Over the past 24 hours, 31 settlements came under attack. One person was killed and eight others were wounded.

Overnight, a post office warehouse caught fire after being hit by a drone. While the fire was being extinguished, Russian troops repeatedly attempted to attack the rescue workers. The fire has been put out, and there were no casualties among the rescue workers.

Mykolaiv region

Russian troops attacked energy and critical infrastructure using Shahed-type drones. In Mykolaiv, three high-rise buildings and two private houses were damaged, as well as several vehicles.

One man sustained shrapnel wounds and was hospitalised; two women suffered acute stress reactions. Fires broke out, which were extinguished by rescue workers.

In the Mykolaiv district, FPV drones attacked communities, damaging the roof of a private house. There were no casualties.
