Russian military casualties in the war against Ukraine have exceeded 1.28 million
Total combat casualties among Russian troops from 24 February 2022 to 17 March 2026 have reached approximately 1,280,860 personnel. Over the past 24 hours, 930 soldiers have been killed.
As of 17 March, Ukrainian forces had destroyed 11,783 tanks, including two in the last 24 hours, 24,218 armoured fighting vehicles, including three in the last 24 hours, and 38,477 artillery systems, including 20 in the last 24 hours.
In addition, 1,688 multiple launch rocket systems have been destroyed, one of them in the last 24 hours, and 1,333 air defence systems. A further 435 aircraft and 349 helicopters have been lost.
The number of tactical-level drones destroyed stands at 183,144, of which 1,991 were destroyed in the last 24 hours. A further 4,468 cruise missiles have been neutralised.
The Russian navy has lost 33 ships or boats and two submarines. A total of 83,744 vehicles and tankers have been destroyed, 120 of them in the last 24 hours, as well as 4,091 units of specialist equipment.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine notes that the figures are being updated.
