Over the past 24 hours, there have been 171 combat engagements on the front line. The highest level of activity by Russian forces was observed in the Kostyantynivka, Pokrovsk and Huliaipole sectors.

Defence forces continue to repel attempts by Russian troops to advance further into the territory and are inflicting losses in personnel and equipment.

Over the past 24 hours, 171 combat engagements were recorded. The enemy launched one missile strike, carried out 70 air strikes and dropped 200 guided bombs. It also deployed 9,616 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,715 shelling attacks on positions and settlements, 98 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which released operational information as of 08:00 on Tuesday, 17 March, according to The Public.

Air strikes were recorded, in particular, in the areas of Ivanivka, Havrylivka, Orliv, Samiilivka, and Levadne in the Dnipropetrovsk region, as well as Vozdvyzhivka, Huliaipilske, Dolynka, Kopaniv, Charivne, and Bilenke in the Zaporizhzhia region, and Prydniprovske, Tomyna Balka, and Lvivove in the Kherson region.

The Defence Forces’ aviation struck nine areas where enemy personnel and equipment were concentrated.

Four combat engagements took place in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors; the enemy carried out 87 shelling attacks and launched five air strikes using 15 guided bombs.

In the Southern Slobozhanskyi sector, the enemy made three attempts to breach the defences in the direction of Vovchansk and Starytsia.

In the Kupiansk sector, nine attacks were recorded towards Petropavlivka, Kurylivka, Hlushevka, Novoosynove, Kupiansk and Novoplatonivka.

In the Lyman sector, nine attacks took place in the directions of Drobysheve, Lyman, Stavky, Dibrova and Borova.

In the Sloviansk sector, Ukrainian forces repelled ten attempts by the enemy to advance towards Yampil, Platonivka, Riznykivka, Ozerny and Rai-Oleksandrivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, the enemy launched an assault towards Minkivka.

In the Kostiantynivka sector, there were 30 attacks towards Kostiantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Ivanopil, Illinivka, Stepanivka, Rusyno Yar, Sofiivka and Novopavlivka.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 31 offensive operations in the areas of Bilytske, Rodynske, Novooleksandrivka, Myrnohrad, Shevchenko, Hryshyne, Udachne, Kotlyne, Filiya, Novomykolaivka and Novopidhorodne.

In the Oleksandrivka sector, five attacks were recorded in the direction of Danilivka and Zlagoda.

In the Huliaipole sector, 21 combat engagements took place in the areas of Zaliznychne, Myrne, Zelenyi, Charivne, Huliaipole and Varvarivka.

No enemy offensive actions were recorded in the Orikhiv and Prydniprovsk directions.

In the Volyn and Polissya sectors, no signs of offensive groupings were detected.

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces suffered 930 casualties. Two tanks, three armoured fighting vehicles, 20 artillery systems, one multiple launch rocket system, 1,991 drones and 120 vehicles were also destroyed.
