Over the past 24 hours, the Russian army has lost a further 1,040 troops. Losses among artillery units have also risen significantly.

Total combat losses among Russian troops since the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine on 24 February 2022 up to 21 April 2026 amount to approximately 1,320,310 personnel. Of these, 1,040 were recorded over the past 24 hours.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the General Staff, Russian equipment losses amount to 11,884 tanks, 24,429 armoured fighting vehicles and 40,478 artillery systems, of which 82 were destroyed in the last 24 hours.

Also destroyed were 1,749 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,350 air defence systems, 435 aircraft and 350 helicopters.

In addition, Russian forces have lost 250,463 tactical-level unmanned aerial vehicles, of which 1,905 were lost in the last 24 hours, as well as 4,549 cruise missiles.

Naval losses amount to 33 ships and boats and two submarines.

A total of 90,763 vehicles and tankers have been destroyed, including 192 in the past 24 hours. A total of 4,132 pieces of specialised equipment have been lost.

The General Staff noted that the figures are being updated.
