The president said that the missile component of today's Russian strike alone cost Ukraine around €80 million.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Russia's massive attack on 20 January cost Ukraine approximately €80 million. He made this statement during a conversation with journalists.

The head of state clarified that this refers specifically to the cost of the missiles that Russia used in today's strike. According to Zelensky, this amount demonstrates the scale of resources that Russia is spending to continue the war.

The president also noted that the general position of Ukraine's international partners is clear — the United States and President Donald Trump have declared their desire to end the war. At the same time, he has not yet discussed today's attack with the American leader.

"As for the latest shelling and whether it is a targeted or non-targeted decision, we have not yet discussed this," he said.

Zelensky emphasised that Ukraine is receiving appropriate aid packages, but providing air defence remains a difficult task.

"Today's attack by the Russians cost us, in terms of the cost of missiles alone, around €80 million. And every day we are doing everything we can — and I am doing everything I can — to ensure that we receive the necessary missiles and protection for our people," the president stressed.

The head of state also noted that Ukraine is fighting for the war to end as soon as possible, because the main loss is human lives. At the same time, he acknowledged that securing the necessary number of missiles to defend the country is extremely difficult and financially burdensome.

"It is very difficult to find these missiles, very difficult to find the funds for them. This war is an extremely expensive Russian 'luxury'," Volodymyr Zelenskyy concluded.
