Zelenskyy has urged Ukrainians to take shelter: Putin is growing weaker and may intensify his attacks
He said this in a comment to journalists, according to hromadske.
‘Please take shelter. I beg you, I really do… Putin is growing weaker. He is weakening politically, on the battlefield and physically. And so he may intensify his attacks on us, on our people, with missiles and drones,” said Zelenskyy.
The President stated that Ukraine is ready for negotiations with Vladimir Putin, although he described him as a “madman”.
“Putin does not want to stop, and all his talk about wanting peace is a lie. All our partners, all Europeans, sense this. But everyone is confident that together we will stop him… Putin wants to see everything here go up in flames, and he is a madman – our partners sense this. Ukraine is ready to negotiate with him, despite this. But Europe must get fully involved so that we have a strong position,” he said.
As a reminder, Dmytro Lubinets, the Verkhovna Rada’s Human Rights Commissioner, previously stated that 780 billion hryvnias are needed to set up shelters, but no funds are being allocated from the state budget for this.
