200 million tonnes of cargo have been transported via the Ukrainian maritime corridor
This was reported by the Ministry of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine. According to the ministry, since the start of 2026, seaports have already handled almost 35 million tonnes of cargo destined for 56 countries worldwide.
Since its launch in 2023, the Ukrainian maritime corridor has transported 200 million tonnes of cargo.
Of this volume, 118 million tonnes is Ukrainian grain. In total, over 7,800 vessels have been handled since the corridor began operating.
Since the start of 2026 alone, almost 35 million tonnes of cargo have been transported through Ukrainian seaports. Ukrainian produce has reached 56 countries worldwide.
Why the maritime corridor is important
The Ukrainian maritime corridor remains one of the key export routes amid a full-scale war.
Through it, Ukraine continues to supply agricultural and other products to foreign markets, support the economy and contribute to global food security.
Behind every figure lies the work of ports, seafarers, logistics specialists, railway workers, farmers and other professionals who ensure exports continue despite Russia’s constant attacks.
Russia continues to target port infrastructure
The Ministry of Development noted that Russian troops continue to systematically attack Ukraine’s logistics infrastructure.
In April 2026 alone, over 500 drone attacks were recorded. Ports were under fire virtually every other day.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, 935 port infrastructure facilities have been damaged or partially destroyed.
A total of 191 civilian vessels have also been damaged, and 255 people have been injured.
Despite this, the corridor remains operational
Despite constant attacks, the Ukrainian maritime corridor continues to operate.
The ministry emphasises that its operation is vital not only for the Ukrainian economy but also for the countries that receive Ukrainian goods.
This is why the stability of maritime exports remains one of the key elements of Ukraine’s economic resilience during the war.
