A cold atmospheric front or a high-pressure system? What will the weather be like in Ukraine on 29 July?

Weather on 29 July: which regions are likely to experience rain and thunderstorms
The expert explained that throughout 29 July, the remnants of a cold atmospheric front will bring brief showers and thunderstorms:
- in the Kharkiv region;
- in the Poltava region;
- in the Sumy region;
- in the north of the Luhansk region.
Meanwhile, according to Didenko, most of Ukraine will experience “dry weather”.
“Just like the whole of the European continent, in fact – an anticyclone,” she noted.
What to expect in terms of wind and temperature
According to Didenko, north-westerly winds are expected throughout Wednesday.
“Moderate, at times gusty,” the specialist added.
Meanwhile, the air temperature will be “just right”.
Across Ukraine, average temperatures of +22...+25°C are expected throughout the day on 29 July.
It will be slightly warmer in the south – up to +24...+28°C.
The northern regions, however, will be the coolest – around +20...+22°C.
Weather in Kyiv on 29 July
In Kyiv on Wednesday, 29 July, precipitation is unlikely.
Daytime temperatures will be around +22...+23 degrees Celsius.
Meanwhile, tonight (according to the weather forecast from the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Centre), temperatures in the capital may drop to around +15°C.
“The end of July and the start of August will bring a real heatwave to Ukraine – please bear this in mind,” emphasised Didenko.
Finally, she advised people to dress for the weather, keep a close eye on their health and not forget about their pets.
“Wear clothing that is as natural and lightweight as possible. Make sure your fans and air-conditioners are in good working order (check them just in case), and keep a supply of water... Heat is a normal part of summer, but it’s always worth paying attention to the weather forecasts,” the meteorologist concluded.
