A man verbally abused and intimidated Ukrainian teenagers on a bus
In Poland, an unidentified man verbally abused some Ukrainian teenagers and aggressively demanded that they return to Ukraine.

The incident took place on a bus in the Polish city of Bielsko-Biała. A 12-year-old Ukrainian girl filmed an adult man swearing at her and other teenagers.

A video of the incident was shared by Ukraine’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, Andriy Sibiga.

“The ‘hero’ on the Polish bus was verbally ‘at war’ with children and women. It doesn’t take much intelligence or courage to do that,” Sibiga wrote.

In the video, the Polish man can be heard calling the girls “Ukrainian whores”. “We’ll kick you out of here soon,” the man told the children.

The Ukrainian Foreign Minister said that, upon learning of the incident, the Ukrainian side had approached the Polish law enforcement authorities with a request “for an appropriate response to the man’s inappropriate behaviour and the humiliation of Ukrainians on the basis of their nationality”.

Subsequently, the Polish police stated that they had tracked down and detained the man. Law enforcement officers are investigating the circumstances of the incident. Poland’s Minister of the Interior, Marcin Kerwinski, stated that such crimes would not go unpunished.
