Zelenskyy has submitted draft laws to the Verkhovna Rada on the extension of martial law and mobilisation
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has tabled draft laws in the Verkhovna Rada to approve decrees extending the duration of martial law and general mobilisation.
The documents have been registered under numbers 15401 and 15402. As of now, the texts of the draft laws approving the Presidential decrees ‘On the extension of martial law in Ukraine’ and ‘On the extension of general mobilisation’ have not yet been published on the Verkhovna Rada’s website.
In accordance with current decisions, martial law and general mobilisation in Ukraine remain in force until 2 August 2026. It is expected that the Verkhovna Rada will consider extending them for a further 90 days, until 31 October 2026.
Martial law has been in force in Ukraine since 24 February 2022.
