Actor Sean Penn has arrived in Kyiv — instead of the Oscars — Sean Penn Ukraine

The actor and director Sean Penn arrived in Kyiv on 16 March. He missed the Oscars ceremony to do so.

A video of the actor’s arrival was posted by Ukrzaliznytsia.

He was due to be in Los Angeles tonight to receive his third Oscar — for Best Supporting Actor in the film ‘One Battle After Another’.

In Kyiv, Penn has already met with President Zelenskyy — this was reported by the Office of the President.

In 2022, the actor presented one of his previous Oscars to Zelenskyy until the end of the war — as a “symbol of faith in Ukraine’s victory”.
