During his latest visit to Ukraine, American actor and director Sean Penn visited Ukrainian troops on the front line.

In particular, he visited a combat unit of the 157th Mechanised Brigade in Sloviansk and spoke with soldiers from the 3rd Special Operations Brigade ‘Spartan’.

“Such meetings are inspiring and serve as a reminder that even in the most difficult times we are not alone, and our courage will not go unnoticed,” said a spokesperson for the 157th Mechanised Brigade.

Colonel Oleksiy Khilchenko, commander of the ‘Spartan’ Brigade, spoke about the brigade’s successes on the battlefield and the realities of war today. He also presented Sean Penn with the brigade’s flag and a commemorative medal.

The actor spoke with the soldiers, thanked them for their service and expressed his support for the Ukrainian fighters.

This is not the first time Sean Penn has visited Ukraine since the start of the full-scale invasion, and he continues to support the Ukrainian people in their fight against the occupiers.

On this occasion, the Hollywood star deliberately missed the 2026 Oscars ceremony, where he was awarded the prize for Best Supporting Actor for his role in the film ‘One Battle After Another’.

And even earlier, in November 2022, Sean Penn brought and left his other Oscar in Ukraine as a symbol of his faith in our country’s victory.
