The Cabinet approved such a decision during the meeting on November 19.

Today, November 19, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Artem Nekrasov as Acting Minister of Energy of Ukraine. This was reported by the Ministry of Energy.

The statement from the Ministry states that the Acting Minister of Energy is First Deputy Minister Artem Nekrasov. The government approved the relevant order on November 19.

"I am aware of the weight of responsibility before the country and the industry. We have entered the active phase of the most difficult heating season in Ukraine's history," said Nekrasov.

According to him, the immediate task is to ensure the stable operation of the energy system and transparency of processes, as well as restore the trust of international partners. He also emphasized the need to attract resources for repairs and restoration of damaged energy facilities.

"I will make every effort to cope with these challenges while the Government and the Verkhovna Rada decide on a candidate for the new head of the Ministry," Nekrasov emphasized.

Who is Artem Nekrasov?

Artem Nekrasov has three higher educations, including in the field of energy. He obtained the educational and qualification level of specialist in "Electrical Power Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanics" at Zaporizhzhia National Technical University.

Since 2017, Nekrasov has held managerial positions at "Kharkivoblenergo" JSC, including deputy director for asset protection and economic security. He has also been director of "Kharkivenergozap" and commercial director of JSC "Kharkivoblenergo".

Since August 1, 2025, he has been serving as First Deputy Minister of Energy.
