The State Energy and Utilities Regulatory Commission has shut down a number of illegal petrol stations in three regions
This was reported by the BEB press office.
The largest number of illegal sites – seven in total – were discovered in the Dnipropetrovsk region, specifically in Dnipro, Kryvyi Rih and Pavlohrad. A further three sites were shut down in the Kharkiv and Poltava regions.
The closure was prompted by a gross violation of the law: the individuals involved were selling fuel of unknown origin, purchased from unlicensed producers.
The goods had no quality certificates or documents of origin, and retail sales were conducted without tax accounting.
Following the inspections, law enforcement officers seized significant stocks of energy resources: 20,500 litres of petrol, 16,500 litres of diesel and over 14,000 litres of liquefied gas. The illegal activities of these outlets have been completely halted.
