A Brit became a victim of online fraud through AI-generated images of celebrities
The 43-year-old Paul Davis (pictured) from Southampton was attacked by videos created with artificial intelligence, featuring Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, and others. However, when he received a message supposedly from his favorite sitcom star "Friends," Jennifer Aniston, he believed her and sent £200 in the form of Apple gift cards, as reports Daily Mail.
Scammers sent fake documents resembling the actress's driver's license. Paul was unemployed and suffering from depression, which made him vulnerable. Later, he admitted that he was a victim of fraud and felt deceived and ashamed.
