Chernihiv and Phoenix-Mariupol will face each other in the quarter-finals of the Ukrainian Cup
The match will take place at the Chernihiv Arena stadium and will kick off at 12:00. This will be the sixth official meeting between the two sides. Phoenix-Mariupol hold the upper hand in head-to-head encounters, having won three times; one match ended in a draw, and Chernihiv won once.
To reach this stage, Chernihiv beat Atlet 1–0, secured a 3–0 walkover victory over Kryvbas, and progressed past Lisne following a 1–1 draw and a 5–4 penalty shoot-out.
Under the management of Maksym Feshchuk, Phoenix-Mariupol beat Fazenda 1–0, as well as defeating Metalurh and Agrotech following 1–1 draws in penalty shootouts, winning 4–2 and 7–6 respectively.
The other semi-finalists in the tournament had already been decided. They are Dynamo, Bukovyna and Metalist 1925, who progressed past Ingulets, LNZ and Lokomotiv.
